Dear Sister,
There is a sacred discomfort that comes with being between what was and what will be.
You may feel foggy, unsure, untethered. You might look around and wonder why clarity hasn’t arrived yet.
But here’s what I want you to know: This in-between space is not a punishment. It’s preparation. You are not behind—you are in the shift. And that shift is making room for your next becoming.
You don’t need to rush through this. You only need to listen. Notice what is no longer true. Let it fall. Let it compost.
The clarity will come. But first, let yourself be held by the mystery.
With tenderness,
Pam
Letters to My Sisters has always been about reflection and restoration. But I also believe in returning to the table together — to unpack, to integrate, to grow.
Starting this month, paid subscribers will receive an exclusive “After the Letter” reflection — a companion piece offering deeper commentary, prompts, and practices to ground what we’re exploring each week.
It’s not just an extra — it’s an invitation to go deeper into the work of becoming.
After the Letter
When I wrote this letter, I was thinking about how often we measure our worth by momentum — how much we’re doing, how fast we’re moving, how visible the progress looks.
But transitions don’t move in straight lines. They unfold like seasons: quietly, sometimes imperceptibly, but always with purpose.
This reflection came from my own slow season — a time when everything I’d built seemed to pause. I kept asking myself, Am I falling behind? But what I was really experiencing was recalibration. The pause wasn’t punishment; it was preparation.
If you’re in that in-between space — not where you were, not yet where you’re going — remember this: Transition is sacred terrain. It’s where identity softens, where old labels shed, where your next form begins to take shape.
You don’t have to rush your becoming. The rhythm will reveal itself when you’re ready to move again.
Soul Practice
This week, give yourself permission to not know.
Take 10 quiet minutes each day to ask:
“What part of me is becoming?”
“What might need rest before it rises again?”
Let whatever comes arrive without editing or judgment.
A Question for You
What does transition feel like in your body right now — tightness, openness, fatigue, curiosity?
Notice, and name it gently in the chat if you feel called.
Closing Thought
You’re not falling behind. You’re being remade.
