Letters to My Sisters is a natural outgrowth of the themes explored in my recently published book, Women Don’t Retire—a soulful guide for women of color navigating transitions, legacy, and reinvention beyond traditional notions of retirement. While the book invites readers to reimagine what’s possible in this next chapter, the Letters offer a more intimate rhythm: a quiet place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the self beneath the roles. These letters are love notes to the woman becoming—rooted in the same spirit of restoration, alignment, and deep listening that anchors Women Don’t Retire.
There comes a time in every woman’s life when the noise of the world grows too loud to bear—and the whisper of her own truth becomes impossible to ignore.
I created Letters to My Sisters as a sacred pause in that moment. A space to reflect, release, and remember who you are beneath the roles you’ve played, the burdens you’ve carried, and the expectations you’ve outgrown.
Each offering in this series is a love note.
To the part of you that is tired.
To the part of you that is rising.
To the part of you that is finally choosing yourself.
These are the letters I wish someone had written to me—when I was navigating change, when I felt unseen, or when I needed permission to rest, reclaim, and realign.
And so I offer them to you now.
With tenderness and truth,
Pam
